Hosted by WINY Radio, the Putnam annual Dazzle Light Parade promises to be a great way to get in the holiday spirit!  It will be in downtown Putnam beginning at 5 pm.  Here’s a link to the event. The parade is especially kid friendly and it’s free!

The Norwich Knights of Columbus gave away 300 coats to needy children today in Taftville.  Since 2009, the Connecticut Council of the Knights of Columbus has hosted “K of C Coats for Kids,” giving away more than 275,000 to children around the state. 300 kids went home happy and warm today.  

Sterling’s Gallup Cemetery was one of just 15 municipalities to receive state money from a Neglected Cemetery Account Grant.  It was fortunate that Sterling’s town officials acted quickly as this program is very popular and if they had acted slowly, they would not have received the grant. The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut announces an open house for its newest member, Quinebaug Kennels.
