Serafin has left in his will 2.3 million dollars to the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut to give scholarships to residents of Putnam, Thompson, Woodstock and Pomfret who want to go into nursing. Sudden Storm hits Northeastern Connecticut
A flash thunderstorm moved through Eastern Connecticut on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, knocking out power to over 45,000 residents in the area. Trees blocked areas of Route 32, Route 82, and Route 207. It was a nice break from the heat though.
